Steel flange plugs PN 16, manufactured according to GOST 12836-67, are metal disk-shaped parts designed for hermetically block pipelines. They are used in systems where temporary or permanent blocking of the working medium flow is required.
Construction
Flange plugs have a connecting protrusion on the sealing surface, which ensures their tight fit to the mating elements of the pipeline. Geometrically, they resemble a flat flange without a central hole.
Example of the conditional designation of a steel flange plug with a connecting protrusion with a diameter of DN = 50 mm at PN = 16 kg/cm²:
- “Plug 50—16 GOST 12836”
The conditional designation includes the nominal diameter (DN), nominal pressure (PN), and reference to the standard.
