Butterfly valves with a stainless steel disc and EPDM seal PN 16 are elements of pipeline valves used to control the flow of various working media. Shut-off element of the valves is in the shape of a disc that rotates around an axis perpendicular to the flow direction. This allows the valve to transition from the "open" to the "closed" position by turning 90°.
Materials
The valve body is made of cast iron, and the disc is made of stainless steel (CF8). The seal is made of EPDM, ensuring excellent tightness.
Connection type
Wafer connection allows butterfly valves to be installed between flat flanges without the need for additional gaskets, thanks to the EPDM seal.
EPDM seal
- EPDM material has high chemical resistance to water, steam, weak acids, and alkalis.
- Operating temperature range: from -40°C to +120°C (in some cases up to +130°C).
- It is characterized by elasticity, which ensures a reliable fit of the disc to the body even with multiple opening/closing cycles.

- Low hydraulic resistance in the open position.

- Easy to operate – only a quarter turn (90°) is required for full opening or closing.
- No need for additional gaskets during installation due to the quality of the EPDM seal.
