Cast iron knife gate valves PN 10 are designed for shutting off flows of water, sewage, sludge, slightly contaminated, and industrial media. The knife gate design allows for effective operation in applications where standard valves quickly become clogged – in systems with solid inclusions, fibrous particles, and abrasives.
The valve body is made of high-strength cast iron GGG40, ensuring an optimal combination of strength and wear resistance. The main working element is a gate made of stainless steel SS304, which features high resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage. An elastomer seat provides reliable sealing. For additional tightness, a PTFE + Viton seal is used.
The valves comply with API 598 (testing and quality control) and API 609 (dimensions and face-to-face standard) standards. They are connected to the pipeline via flanges. For sizes from DN 50 to DN 450, manual operation via a handwheel is used, while for DN 500 to DN 600, operation via a bevel gear is applied, facilitating use under high torque conditions.
The valves are resistant to contaminated media, easy to maintain, and have a compact design, simplifying installation in confined spaces. Thanks to the robust body, corrosion-resistant gate, and high-quality sealing materials, the cast iron knife gate valves are characterized by durability and stable performance under intensive operating conditions.
