Operating characteristics
Ball valves 11s32p Du 15 - Du 50 are designed to operate at a maximum pressure of 40 kg/cm2 (PN 40) and can be used at temperatures up to 180 °C. This makes them a versatile solution for water, gas, and steam supply systems. Ball valves 11s32p Du 65 - Du 200 are designed to operate at a maximum pressure of up to 25 kg/cm2 (PN 25).
Ball valve 11s32p consists of the following main components:
- Body: Made of steel and serves as the base for all other elements.
- Ball: Made of stainless steel, it has a hole that allows the working fluid to pass through. Turning the ball 90 degrees opens or closes the flow.
- Stem: Connects the handle to the ball and transmits the force from the handle to the ball.
- Sealing elements: Used to prevent leaks of the working fluid.
The operation of the valve is as follows:
- To open the valve, turn the handle counterclockwise to the stop. This causes the ball to rotate so that the hole in it aligns with the passage channel of the body, allowing the working fluid to flow freely.
- To close the valve, turn the handle clockwise. In this case, the ball rotates so that its surface completely blocks the passage hole, stopping the flow.
