Plug valves 11ch3bk PN 1 are designed for installation on pipelines transporting fuel gas with temperatures up to +50°C. The main function of these valves is to completely shut off the flow of the working medium. Valves 11ch3bk can be installed in any position on the pipeline, and the direction of supply of the working medium does not matter.
Design and operating principle
Plug valve 11ch3bk belongs to the category of cone plug valves. Its design includes the following main elements:
- Body: made of gray cast iron.
- Plug: also made of cast iron, has the shape of a truncated cone with a trapezoidal hole inside.
- Sealing: is achieved by means of a gland seal between the body and the plug.
- Lubrication: a special lubricant is applied between the body and the plug to ensure tightness, prevent corrosion and facilitate plug rotation.
The valve operates by rotating the plug around its axis. In the open position, the holes in the body pipes coincide with the hole in the plug, which ensures free passage of the working medium. In the closed position, the axis of the hole in the plug is perpendicular to the pipeline axis, completely blocking the flow.
Design Features
- The conical surfaces of the body and plug provide a tight seal, preventing gas leaks.
- The gland seal is adjusted by gland nuts to maintain tightness during operation.
- Special lubricant reduces friction between the body and the plug, which increases the service life of the product.
